- Top 5 Positive Customer Reviews for condenser stand
- Holy crap, it was here in 6 days. It's unbelievable what you get for 25 bucks. It sounds awesome plugged directly in to my motherboard, no phantom power needed. Do be carefull that it does not work correctly plugged in to a laptop.
- This a quality bit of kit! The microphone has an "electronically balanced" output (transistor driver rather than transformer) and its circuit is easy to find on the internet. With "Phantom power" on my mixer it works well with my audio rig. The included cable with USB audio interface is automatically picked-up by Windows (in my case Win-7 64-bit). The control panel "Sound" menu lists it, and when selected as the 'Default Device' the bar-graph shows it as active when you speak. It is picked up by the Microsoft "Speech Recognition" software which is the first stage of training to do to use the "Voice Attack" software I am working towards to use with my PC as a gaming set-up.
- I wanted to use this for talkback in a studio. Quality is mediocre. Sensitivity very low. Speaking from 50 cm, the microphone won't pick up much. Even when speaking very close (2 cm), the output level is too low, and it needs maximum gain on the mixer. When powered from phantom power (+48V via the XLR connector), the mic can't be switched off. The red led stays unlit, but there is always signal. Quick shipping. 5 stars for that.
